the working man

so i'm sitting here doing my 4th 12 hour shift this week, and i have to come to a few conclusions about them after working them for the past month or so.

1. 12 hours is a long time.
2. you cant think straight after the 8th hour.
3. it kills your social/dating life
4. overtime is nice but it sucks at the same time
5. nothing exciting ever happens late at night, seriously
6. you tube and facebook get boring after a while

those are just a few of the things i can think of off the top of my head, but in all reality i have been here almost 40 hours since wed at 6 pm, and i still have another 8 to go. I try not to complain about my job, for the most part i love it, the pay is good, its stable, and soon I will be doing homework while i sit here. Its just those six things are a harsh reality that i live a boring life. pretty much all i do is sleep all day when i work then wake up and go to work, 12 hours isn't enough time to re cooperate from sitting at a desk in complete udder boredom for 12 hours. some of you know i work at a data center, and really all i do is change some computer hardware every now and then in a server, but most of the time i sit here and wait for something to go wrong hoping that nothing does go wrong, exciting huh? but as boring and mundane as my job is I'm thankful to have it, and to have gotten it so soon after coming home from my mission. So the thing that I learned today is that no matter how boring or crummy a job is you should be thankful to have it. I also learned how rad my brother is, thanks for picking up these new headphones for me they are freaking awesome.
