I hate copyright protection

copyright protection is ridiculous, seriously when they stick that crap on DVDs or CDs it bring my blood to a boil. When you can't even make a backup copy for your own personal use is to me a bit annoying. really copyright protection does keep pirating down, but more so it is a hindrance to the honest, i don't even know why they waste money on that crap when people will find a way around it if they really want to. The whole FBI fining you crap is total bull, unless you get caught and even then how are they going to do that unless you are being stupid, what are they going to go to everyone home and search to see if the have pirated copies of Bambie? seriously. and the funny thing is that copyright protection only has issues in windows, which continues to put me on the Microsoft hate train. Really i don't feel that it is fair at all that not only can i not make a copy of a CD/DVD in windows without having to find or buy software to rip it for me but that the fact that this atrocity is even allowed. if i bought the software I should be able to do whatever i want with it, as long as i don't just give it out for free or share it on the Internet. Really if the pirates just didn't want to get stuff for free we wouldn't have a problem, but then again if corporations/Hollywood/music industry didn't charge a crap load maybe people would actually not want to pirate. But really copyright protection is just full of lose, screw the RIAA too, you guys suck balls.
